Nikita Boriso-Glebsky

Russian violin virtuoso Nikita Boriso-Glebsky has firmly established himself as one of the new generation’s eminent young European concert artists – praised for his “deep musical thinking, impeccable technique, elegance and instinctiveness”. The winner of the Jean Sibelius Competition, the Fritz Kreisler Violin Competition, the David Oistrakh Violin Competition, the Monte Carlo Violin Masters and other prestigious international contests, today Boriso-Glebsky is expanding the geography of his performances and the space of his creative searches

His recent engagements include solo performances with the Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonia Rotterdam, Münchner Symphoniker, National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico and the NHK Symphony Orchestra as well as participation at the music festival December Nights of Sviatoslav Richter in Moscow, Bodensee Festival in Friedrichshafen and Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival.

Nikita’s upcoming performances include solo and chamber music concerts in Italy, Lithuania, Germany, France, Holland, South Korea, Norway, Switzerland, Austria, Russia and extended one-month tour in China with the pianist Georgy Tchaidze in March-April 2019. The Finnish Radio Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, Münchner Symphoniker, Hannu Lintu, DimaSlobodeniouk, Ben Gernon, Boris Berezovsky, Vadim Repin and Nikolai Lugansky –Nikita’s stage partners for the season 2018/19.

In April 2018 the German label Profil has released the anthology of Nikolai Medtner’s chamber works for violin and piano recorded by Nikita Boriso -Glebsky and Ekaterina Derzhavina. This release has already received lots of positive critics including the Supersonic Award from the Pizzicato Magazine. The earlier Fuga Libera’s monographic album of Edouard Lalo works with Sinfonia Varsovia, Augustin Dumay and Jean-Philippe Collard was also highly commended by a 5-star review in the French magazine Diapason
