Atrium Quartet

Saarbruecker Zeitung review

Two concerts with dutch pianist Peter Caelen took place in Saarbruecken and Maastricht recently.

Dvorak piano quintet is one of the "new" pieces in our concert programs. And we glad that the audience reaction was very positive!

The review after the concert in Saarbruecken are available on-line here.

Sincerely yours,

ASQ

ASQ welcomes you!

Welcome back to the Atrium's HOME!

We are opening new version of the site. This season we decided to wear a "new dress". What is new here? Sure, design. But now you can listen music templates, watch video and read our news, as well as participate in our blog activities. We are very welcome to all your comments and suggestions, which can help us to improve the web-page.

And, of course, we would be very happy to see all of you at our next concert!

Sincerely yours,

ASQ debut in Palau 100

After three years of the Quartet's first performance in Barcelona we returned back to this beautiful city.  This December we performed  in famous concert hall - Palau Musica Catalana in "PALAU 100" series. After the real winter in Berlin we appeared in spring (or late autumn?) again. This is an advantage which musicians always have - change not only place to perform, but also the feelings of the seasons. So, the concert went very well. We loved to perform there, and hoped that the audience had the same feelings. ;) The program included the "Remebrances" quartet by Jordi Cervello. HIs four string quartets we recorded already in St Petersburg the year before and it was new meeting with Jordi, now in Barcelona.

Spanish air controller's strike did not allow us return back to Berlin after the concert. So, another three days were dedicated to the city and its surroundings. The most impressive visits are to Sagrada Familia and Monserrat and,of course, delicious food on the sea cost... Thanks to Albert! :)

ASQ performs in London

ASQ Wigmore Hall recital on Sunday, 21st of November was the last concert in our November tour in the UK. After Boston, Grimsby and Abbotsholme School. That was the most exciting moment of the tour. We love to perform in Wigmore Hall and each concert brings a lot of warm feelings. Every time we perform there, in our thoughts we return back to 2003 when ASQ performed Shostakovich's fifth quartet and won the first prize at London String Quartet Competition. That was almost 8 years ago. And this year we decided to bring Shostakovich 10th to Wigmore. Together with Mendelssohn's op.13. What a moment! Looking forward to return back in coming seasons!
